Back from holiday in London with m'girlfriend. Long anticipated, much needed break. Actually had a possibly brilliant blog post planned to kick off my new era of blogging, but have to get all this news off my chest first. Will split over several posts, here's the first:
New chocolate shop added to Morag's Chocolate Map. We were lucky enough with the late autumn weather in London Village, but Saturday it pissed down. And it was cold. And I was too vain to wear my hooded raincoat (which is big and bulky and not cool or sexy) - instead wore my new purple jacket that I bought in Berlin, which has no hood. So, got quite wet and cold, tramping around Covent Garden shopping for stuff for th'girlfriend. Then, there it was: Godiva Chocolatier. Good name for a chocolate shop eh? Saw it last time I was in London, but never went in. Well, there are three of these in London I believe; this one is compact. The chocolates looked lovely- some of them had very imaginative exteriors (kind of frosted with crystalised sugar and things) and interiors (macadamia nut paste) but didn't actually try any. They do a takeaway hot chocolate though, in plain, hazelnut or spicy. Ordered the spicy but they were out so just had the plain. Divine. A small paper cup of heart-warming heaven.
